At the Lancashire  Seamstress I love to combine my knowledge of fit and garment construction to make you feel the most confident they can be for their special occasion or in your everyday life.

I find clothing can really effect how you physiologically feel about yourself and then express to others.  Garments that fit well, aren't just always more practical but they make you feel better.

A little about me Alison​ (owner and lead seamstress)

​

I studied Fashion Design at De Montfort University and showcased my collection at Graduate Fashion Week 2012. I internship in London for Elisa Palomino creating high end ready-to-wear collection for London Fashion Week. 

​

To develop my industry experience I moved to Kuwait to work as a junior knitwear designer, working abroad liaising with factories in Asia and the Far East.  Since being back in England I have expanded  my knowledge of the fashion industry as a garment technologist which gave me a greater insight in to perfecting fit.

Karen (assistant Seamstress)

At the Lancashire seamstress I am privileged to work along side Karen. She has been with me for over 7 years and has been sewing longer than I've been alive. Karen has a city and guilds in textiles and has a great breadth of experience and knowledge in general alterations. She has four lovely children which she has had to make dance costumes and alter their clothes all the way through their childhood.
